Job summary

Applebee's is hiring for a kitchen preparer role in a fast-paced environment that blends classic Applebee's dining with IHOP-inspired concepts. You will handle prep work, set up the cook’s station, ensure quality and safety, and assist in producing menu items per recipes and standards.

Ideal candidates will follow instructions, maintain cleanliness, and participate in regular cleaning and maintenance tasks while contributing to a dynamic, team-oriented kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food prep equipment.
• Good personal hygiene required.
• Must possess and/or obtain a valid Food Handlers Card prior to employment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned prep work and set up cook’s station.
• Maintain product presentations, quality, food safety, and cook time standards.
• Prepare menu items according to recipes and specifications.
• Follow written instructions to prepare menu items.
• Set up work station according to station diagram.
• Sanitize work area before, during, and after shift.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects.
