About the Role:

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Part-Time Prep Cook at our Grand Central location.

The ideal candidate will be customer service-driven and flexible, capable of working various tasks daily.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide immediate and undivided attention to every customer.
2. Ensure food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet all kitchen and recipe guidelines.
3. Maintain cleanliness of walk-ins and freezers, and proper storage of products.
4. Know product availability, preparation, storage, and nutritional information.
5. Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms, meeting all spoilage targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred.
2. Ability to follow recipe specifications accurately.
3. Ability to handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
4. Serv-Safe certification is a plus.
5. Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
6. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Standing and walking up to 8 hours per day.
• Reaching for up to 4 hours per day.

This union position offers competitive pay, with a pay range of $19.00 - $19.50/hour depending on experience, along with:
