Job summary

Compass Group USA via Flik Independent School Dining is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Prep Cook positions at Pomfret School, Pomfret, CT. Schedule includes weekdays and one weekend day; hours vary. Perks include free shift meals and training; referral bonus available.

Pay range is $18.50–$20.00 per hour. Associates benefit from free meals, uniforms, laundering, and comprehensive health and other benefits at select locations.

Qualifications

• Prepare items according to production sheets and recipes.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and health regulations.
• Able to work weekdays and one weekend day as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following quantities and recipes.
• Complete daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures.
• Label, store and date all food items; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete required documentation, reports, logs.
• Take customer orders and prepare items with short prep time.
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
• Manage orders from steam tables and grill across multiple stations.
• Ensure proper quality, temperatures, and portion control.
