  • We are hiring immediately for a full-time PREP COOK position.
  • Location: Kirkland & Ellis NY Cafe - 601 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full-time, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, days may vary. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred.
  • Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available
  • Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Obtain daily production schedule and requirements from the Chef.
  • Prepare items following established recipes and quantities.
  • Complete and follow production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality.
  • Operate and clean equipment per procedures.
  • Store, label, and date food items following HACCP guidelines.
  • Complete documentation and logs as required.
  • Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Take customer orders and prepare quick-turnaround items.
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
  • Use approved recipes and standards for quality and portion control.
  • Resolve customer concerns and perform other duties as assigned.
