Eddie & Vinny's Coastal Italian is seeking a Prep Cook to support a fine-dining kitchen in Florida. The role involves preparing or directing food prep using established production procedures and systems, ensuring quality, safety, and timely service.

You will work to maintain stock levels and proper substitutions while adhering to sanitation guidelines and standard recipes. The position requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow written and oral instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Moderate reading and writing skills.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
• The physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs; dexterity; good vision and hearing.
• The ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Prior experience in related food service positions required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs preparation of food using established production procedures and systems.
• Determines amount and type of food and supplies required; ensures availability and proper substitutions.
• Maintains sanitation, hygiene and safety standards during food handling.
• Stores food properly with dates and labeling.
• Reports equipment repair and maintenance as needed.
• Prepares food following standard recipes and dietary orders; portioning for serving.
• Coordinates with meal serving hours to preserve quality and appearance.
• Keeps daily production records and maintains a clean work area.
