Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to support fast‑paced kitchen operations in Nashville. You will prepare ingredients, maintain stations, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are followed throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating stock, assisting with various prep tasks, and helping keep areas clean and organized at all times. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as pantry, prep, or line cook in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to read and follow English recipes and instructions.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time and works at the prep station per schedule.
• Prepares food according to specifications and recipes.
• Retrieves items from storage for prep needs (freezers, coolers, etc.).
• Prepares equipment, utensils, plates, and supplies for the station.
• Rotates stock and maintains FIFO to meet daily demands.
• Checks par levels before shifts and ensures back‑up stock.
• Assists kitchen staff with prep and side work as needed.
• Completes station closing duties and maintains cleanliness.
• Maintains sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety throughout area.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and reports issues promptly.
• Maintains good grooming and professional appearance.
