Job summary

Salem Health is seeking a prep cook for Salem Hospital in Salem, Oregon. The role runs full time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt, with a 9:00 am to 5:30 pm schedule, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certification, must have 1 or both within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prep, cook and fry exceptional food at a fast pace.
• Provide consistent and quality food throughout shift.
• Prep, stock and round on stations ensuring that they are fully stocked. Prep will include cutting produce in various forms and portioning food items.
• Basic cooking such as adhering to recipes and par cooking include marinating proteins.
• Using basic kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, flat top and oven.
• Cleaning and keeping a sanitary work environment while adhering to hygiene standards.
