Responsibilities

• Assist the chef and line cooks in preparing and organizing ingredients for meal preparation.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent food quality.
• Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, fruits, and herbs using proper knife techniques.
• Prepare meat, poultry, and seafood by trimming, cutting, and marinating as required.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for recipes, including sauces, dressings, and marinades.
• Stock and rotate food supplies to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food products.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely completion of all food preparation tasks.
• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as needed.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including safe operation of kitchen equipment.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as necessary.
