Job summary

Hilltop Tavern in Woodway, TX is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and stocks according to the Daily Prep List, using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other equipment.

The role requires at least 1 year of kitchen experience, clear communication with staff, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a Food Handlers Card. You will follow standard portion sizes and recipes, maintain a clean station, and support

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and/or cooking.
Must communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Must obtain a Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

Complete opening and closing checklists.
Refer to Daily Prep List at shift start for duties.
Prepare a variety of foods for cooking on broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other equipment.
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and keep all kitchen areas organized.
Follow standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
Report equipment and food quality problems to the Chef.
Inform Chef immediately of product shortages.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.
