Job summary

ExplorUS is seeking a Prep Cook in Maine to prepare items per corporate recipes and standards, supporting a hospitality-driven team. You will work under the Executive Chef in the Food and Beverage department to deliver consistent, high-quality plates and guest experiences.

The role requires knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe handling, with flexibility for day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. A ServSafe or State Food Handler certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary training/experience (1 year minimum).

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef in ensuring menu adherence and guest service expectations.
• Work with a motivated culinary team to exceed guest expectations with a positive attitude.
• Follow defined recipes and safe food handling procedures to deliver quality dishes.
• Complete food and safety logs per company procedures and regulations.
• Possess ServSafe or State Food Handler Certification as required by policy.
• Be able to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Understand ISO, Health and Safety standards and company policies.
• Adhere to the Duties Checklist and other duties as assigned.
