Job summary

Ludico, a new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, is seeking a Prep Cook in New York, NY 10013 to support the culinary team with ingredient prep and station organization.

You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, and Line Cooks, ensuring recipe accuracy, food safety, and timely prep. This role demands flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook, line cook, or culinary experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and knife skills.
• Ability to accurately follow recipes and production schedules.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within a chef-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, meats, seafood, sauces, stocks, dressings, and other ingredients according to established recipes and specifications.
• Wash, peel, chop, slice, portion, marinate, and prepare ingredients for service.
• Assist with the preparation of fresh pasta, breads, and other specialty items as directed.
• Accurately measure and portion ingredients while maintaining recipe consistency.
• Ensure prep lists are completed accurately and on time.
• Organize and maintain prep stations throughout each shift.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and properly storing products.
• Support Line Cooks and culinary leadership with daily operational needs.
• Assist with banquet, private dining, and special event preparation as needed.
