We are looking for contagiously friendly, warm, and energetic people to be the heart of our kitchens. Our prep cooks prepare food using scratch ingredients from local farm partners and set up line cooks for success during meal periods.

Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized station, clean as you go
- Count all prepped items, check quality and proper rotation
- Measure and assemble ingredients and cook items according to specs
- Prep items following specs and prep list
- Label, date, rotate, and store prepped items using FIFO
- Return bulk items to walk-in cooler to maintain food safety
- Operate equipment safely and effectively
- Adhere to safety, sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards
- Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to KM
Brand Delivery
- Be on time for work
- Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude
- Keep yourself, your uniform, and your work area clean
- Follow all uniform standards
Cost Balancing
- Handle kitchen equipment carefully to avoid breakage
- Track any waste
Other Duties
- Perform any additional duties reasonably assigned by managers

- Timely completion of prep list
- Adherence to recipes
Qualifications
- Required Education: On-the-job learning and formal education as part of career growth
- Required Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required
- Desired Characteristics: Exceptional guest service, excellent communication, contagiously friendly, organized, sense of urgency, multi-tasking ability, ability to think and act quickly while maintaining composure, ability to meet schedule requirements
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work in a hot, high-velocity environment; able to stand for long periods; able to tolerate sanitizing chemicals
- Must have weekend and holiday availability; must be 18 or older
