Job summary

Provincial Senior Living in Glenville, NY seeks a Prep Cook/Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare items from standardized recipes, coordinate with serving hours, and ensure quality, temperature, and presentation meet our standards.

The role requires 1 year in food prep, HS diploma or equivalent, and preferred culinary training. We offer full-time schedules, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of job-related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• Food Services Sanitation Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner.
• Determines food and supplies needed and coordinates meal production with serving hours.
• Monitors all food items to ensure minimum guidelines for temperature, taste and quality.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as per menu and recipes.
• Maintains appearance, cleanliness, hygiene and health standards.
• Follows all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Oversees food storage; checks labels and dates.
• Completes cleaning duties.
• Follows all local, state and federal food handling policies.
• Maintains food safety equipment records and temperature logs.
• Other duties as assigned.
