Job summary

Snooze Ahwatukee is hiring a Prep Cook to join our busy morning service. You will be responsible for quality, safety, and timely dish preparation, while staying familiar with our menu and recipes. The role requires basic experience and strong teamwork in a fast-paced breakfast setting.

Typical shifts end before dinner, and Snooze offers weekly pay, benefits, and development opportunities as part of a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes.
• Be familiar with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation information.
• Prepare a variety of items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, processors, scales, and portion bags.
• Stock and maintain sufficient food at line stations for smooth service.
• Keep a clean and sanitary work station during and after service.
• Store and rotate products per health standards and Snoozy guidelines.
• Close kitchen properly and complete deep-clean tasks as directed.

The Position Specifics

• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishesserved
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safetyinformation
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portionbags
• Shows up when scheduled and prepares, stocks, and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smoothservice
• Maintains a clean and sanitarywork station including tables, shelves, broilers, sauté, burners, ovens, flat top griddles, and refrigeration equipment both during and afterservice
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with health department standards and Snoozy Sanitation guidelines
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stationscompleting deep clean projects as dictated by the management team

• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
