Job description

Hopkins Center is hiring for a Prep Cook/Host position. Located in Downtown Brooklyn, we are an exceptional team-oriented facility where we thrive on making our residents and staff as comfortable and happy as possible. Our goal is to Recruit, Retain and Reward our staff. We provide our team with everything necessary to help you succeed and grow!

Schedule: Full Time 8am-4pm with Alternating Weekends

Rate: $18 - $25.15

Prep Cook/Host Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine kitchen tasks and assigned tasks.

  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.

  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.

  • Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.

  • Greet residents in a professional, courteous manner

  • Assist with pouring/providing beverages and other service and bussing functions as necessary

  • Monitor dining room services and food availability on an ongoing basis to ensure prompt and courteous dining service
