Job summary

Puttery in Miami is seeking a Prep Cook to prepare ingredients and menu components according to company recipes and standards. The role ensures stations are stocked and organized while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.

You will chop, portion, mix, and measure ingredients, set up stations before shifts, label and store items, and support timely food preparation. The position requires teamwork, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred; multiple station experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic cooking and preparation methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills.
• Safe Food Handler certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

This role ensures stations are properly stocked and organized while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. Prep Cooks play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring food is prepared efficiently and to quality expectations.

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and wet floors
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Frequent handwashing and use of gloves required
• Schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
