Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Prep Cook to join the kitchen team at a long-term care facility. You will assist in meal prep, follow recipes, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to food safety standards, and reliable attendance. Prior food prep experience is preferred. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is desired.
• Must complete an approved sanitation and safety course (ServSafe).
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are preferred.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meal preparation and maintains a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Preparing ingredients and cooking meals per standardized recipes.
• Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage.
• Following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service demands.
