Prep Cook
Location: FastTrax Entertainment – Fort Myers, FL
Department: Food & Beverage – Kitchen
Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Lead Cook
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time


Overview:
The Prep Cook at FastTrax supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, stocking stations, and ensuring that food service runs smoothly during high-volume shifts. This role is essential for maintaining food quality and keeping operations efficient in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes (cutting, chopping, portioning, etc.)
  • Assist with daily prep lists and restocking cook stations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and storage areas
  • Rotate and label food items to ensure freshness and proper storage
  • Assist with basic cooking tasks and plating as needed during peak times
  • Support kitchen opening and closing duties
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines
  • Communicate with the Lead Cook and Kitchen Manager on prep needs and shortages
Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of kitchen prep procedures and safety standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Prior prep or kitchen experience is preferred but not required
  • Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
