Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Prep Cook to join the kitchen team at a long-term care facility. You will assist in meal preparation, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and ensure food safety standards are followed. This role supports resident and guest experiences by delivering quality meals.

The position offers pay in the USD $14.00 - $16.00 per hour range with benefits and opportunities for hands-on training and career development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous kitchen/food prep experience preferred.
• Must complete sanitation and safety course (ServSafe) and have current certification where required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Prepare ingredients and cook meals per standardized recipes.
• Ensure proper food storage and kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to meet service demands.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate

USD $14.00 - USD $16.00 /Hr.

• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are preferred.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Residency within the service area is required.
