Job summary

Three Pillars Senior Living Communities in Dousman, WI is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team on the day shift (6am-2pm). The role offers a starting pay of $18 per hour and a supportive, mission-driven environment that values care and collaboration.

You'll prepare ingredients, follow recipes, monitor stock, and maintain food safety in a busy kitchen. Prior kitchen experience is valued but not required; basic knife skills and flexibility are essential to cover mornings, evenings,

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knife skills and understanding of safe food handling practices.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and production sheets, including chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning.
• Assist in the preparation of menu items and daily specials under the direction of the Chef or Lead Cook.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in quality and presentation.
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate shortages or needs to kitchen leadership.
• Label, date, and store all food items properly to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, storage, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries while verifying accuracy and quality.
