Job summary

The Ontario Trillium Foundation in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Prep Cook who will contribute to our culinary success through fresh ingredients and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, appreciate high quality food, and be able to manage high volume production in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers flexible scheduling, health benefits, and a kitchen culture centered on Rocky Mountain Hospitality. Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal working age and able to lift 35 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to move 80-90% of the shift and work 8-10 hours.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Communicate with production team throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas.
• Follow proper food preparation and hygiene standards.

Job description

• Operate & handle small tools

A Prep Cook will:

• The Ability to work efficiently under time sensitive time frames while staying positive
• Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.
• Communicate with the production team throughout the shift.
• Follows proper food preparation and handling techniques.
• Label, date, and store ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste
• Maintains daily production records.
• Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
• Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.
• Keep prep areas clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
