University at Buffalo Campus Dining & Shops is hiring for a Probationary Full-Time Union position in a campus dining environment. The role focuses on delivering quality meals to students, faculty, staff and visitors with fast, friendly service in a high-volume kitchen.
Requirements include at least 1 year of experience in high-volume food prep, knife handling skills, math and multitasking abilities, and excellent communication.
May incur lay-offs during University recess periods
Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly
$17.21/hr (Union Employees: See Appendix “A” of Union contract)

Providing quality meals to students, faculty, staff and visitors in a timely manner with an emphasis on customer service. Employees will use various knives, kitchen equipment, and use various food preparation techniques, to prepare a variety of menu items, which may include sandwiches, wraps, tuna cups, fruit cups, yogurt parfaits, pizzas, subs and more. Work may take place in a refrigerated and temperature-controlled environment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
