Job summary

Cheer Athletics Omaha is currently hiring a part-time Prep and a Novice Coach. Five years ago we were a brand-new gym, and we have grown to 18 teams and over 60 classes. We are seeking motivated coaches to join our already amazing staff.

As a coach, you will co-coach teams, teach fundamentals, and coordinate routines from choreography to music. You’ll lead practices, keep athletes safe, provide feedback, and communicate with athletes, parents, and other coaches to help every athlete reach goals.

Qualifications

• Prior cheer coaching experience required.
• Ability to teach stunting, tumbling, and choreography.
• Willingness to work late afternoons, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Co-Coach one or more teams and lead practices.
• Teach fundamentals and coordinate routines from choreography to music.
• Provide constructive feedback and ensure a safe, positive environment.
• Communicate with athletes, parents, and other coaches.
• Attend competitions and assist with goal planning with co-coaches.

Cheer Athletics Omaha is currently hiring a part-time Prep and a Novice Coach!!!!! Five years ago, we were a brand-new gym with four teams, a couple of tumbling classes and big dreams! In that time, we have grown to 18 teams, over 60 classes, and the most amazing coaches and athletes. We are looking for motivated cheer coaches to add to our already amazing staff.

Our Cheer Coaches

• Co-Coach one or more teams, depending on availability
• Play a vital role in teaching cheer fundamentals
• Coordinate all aspects of the routines from choreography to music
• Lead productive practices and maintain a safe and positive environment
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to athletes
• Communicate (A LOT) with athletes, parents and other coaches
• Care a LOT about the athletes in the gym
• Are fun, caring and supportive
• Works late afternoons, nights and weekends, depending on team schedules
• Keep kids safe, thanks to ongoing training and CPR certifications
• Attend competitions, team events
• Spend time with their co-coaches to establish monthly and weekly goals for the team. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and reliable. They should have prior experience coaching a cheer team. They should have the ability to teach stunting, tumbling and choreography, understand scoring rubrics (or be willing to learn them.)

Outside of the Gym

• Prep work is required outside of practices. Lesson planning, scripting, choreography, goals for practice, posting Band messages, and writing athlete evaluations are just a few examples of required work that is done outside of the gym.
