Job summary

Phelps Health is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in the Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. The nurse will apply the nursing process, administer medications, and educate patients and families to support safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an active Missouri or compact state license, plus BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. One year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Missouri or Compact State is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in PreOp/PACU.
• Administers medications and conducts patient and family teaching.
• Performs assessments, documents care, and communicates with physicians and team members.
• Ensures patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and quality measures.
