PreOp/PACU RN at Baylor Surgicare Cityview

The PreOp/PACU RN is a Registered Nurse who provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. Provides safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in perioperative services for all patient populations. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques. Provides comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Circulating experience preferred
• 2 years experience in Preop/PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
