Zusammenfassung

South Denver Surgery Center is hiring a FT Preop/PACU RN for daytime, Monday–Friday shifts with no weekends, nights, calls, or holidays. The PACU nurse delivers comprehensive care after anesthesia, follows physician orders, and ensures patient safety and comfort while coordinating perioperative processes.

Under supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and executing care, and supporting discharge readiness.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
• ASC experience a plus.
• Experience in PACU / ICU required.
• Good communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
• Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.

Aufgaben

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Implement physician orders and ensure continuity and quality of nursing care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family preparation for discharge.
