Job summary

Banner Health Corporate – University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a PRE-OP PACU RN to plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care for pre-op and post-surgical patients in holding and PACU, with varied start times and a 36-hour work week.

The role requires current RN license, BLS, and PACU experience; benefits include sign-on bonus, on-call and shift differentials; Banner Health is a recognized leader in patient care and nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in acute care/hospital settings preferred.
• Sign-on bonus eligibility for external experienced Preop/PACU RNs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for pre-op and post-surgical patients.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise care by the health care team.
• Communicate patient status to other caregivers and coordinate discharge planning.
• Provide care in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice.
• Participate in nursing education, mentoring and quality improvement activities.
