Job summary

Suburban Endoscopy Center is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for surgical patients, from pre-op through PACU recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state, graduate of an accredited RN program, and is certified in BLS and ACLS (PALS if required). At least two years in PACU or critical care is preferred; strong assessment and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Suburban Endoscopy Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Pay Rat:

$48.00/hr - $51.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
