Location: Muncie, IN ASC

Schedule: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, varied days, 30 hrs/week

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre- and post-op assessments, start IVs, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and deliver care per standards.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for patients.
  • Assist physicians during treatments and prepare patients for surgery.
  • Communicate with patients and families about procedures and care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely flow of patients through the pre/post-op areas.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Indiana.
  • Minimum two years' experience in OR or Critical Care required; surgical or perioperative experience preferred.
  • Must hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
Physical & Working Conditions

Work in a surgical environment with exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and other hazards. Requires standing, walking, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally. Must work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

Additional Requirements
  • Associates degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Valid Indiana RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
