United Surgical Partners International’s Urology ASC - Downtown is seeking a full-time PREOP/PACU/Procedural Registered Nurse to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The RN will support patients from PACU through discharge, assist physicians in procedure rooms, and ensure sterile technique and patient safety at all times. Strong communication and judgment are required to coordinate care with the team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous nursing care for PACU patients and continually evaluate patient condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout care and recovery.
• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care from PACU to discharge planning.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Urology ASC - Downtown

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
