The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is seeking a Nursing Care Technician (NCT) / CNA for the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic. You will work one-on-one with a Registered Nurse to perform delegated patient-care tasks, obtain vitals, phlebotomy, document care, assist with ADLs, and prepare patients for procedures.

Must have HS, relevant licensure/registrations or pending RN/LPN status, and BLS. The role involves lifting up to 100 pounds, standing and moving patients, and a weekday schedule

Qualifications

• HS required.
• No experience required.
• License/registration options include SRNA, EMT, RN student, LPN, NCT competencies, and BLS at hire.

Responsabilités

• Work one-on-one with an RN to provide direct patient care.
• Obtain vital signs and perform phlebotomy.
• Document care and assist with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Order and stock supplies; respond to patient call lights.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge; move patients as needed.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures; handle specimens for labs.
