Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II for the First Shift in the Lexington, KY surgical services unit. You will assist in preparing patients for surgery, provide basic physical care, and support safety and comfort under supervision.

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or completion of first year of Nursing program with clinical rotation validation.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide basic physical care and assist hospital staff in delivering high‑quality patient care.
Demonstrate safe patient transport with stretcher, wheelchair, and beds.
Perform duties as directed to support examination, treatment and nursing care.
Participate in unit activities and ensure positive patient relations.
