Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week

Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for delivering both direct and indirect patient care. You will promote and maintain adaptive responses in individuals and groups, considering the integrated nature of person, individual value systems, and cultural differences.

The RN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patients of various ages, considering their developmental stages and individual needs.

Primary (essential) Duties

• Make decisions and judgments based on knowledge and experience.
• Interpret, analyze, and integrate data to assess, plan, and prescribe care, and evaluate patient responses and outcomes.
• Deliver and coordinate patient care using the nursing process: assessment, expected outcome identification, intervention, and evaluation.
• Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and ensure family involvement.
• Engage in QA/QI activities and incorporate quality improvement concepts into nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Anesthesia Nurse or in a surgical setting is highly recommended.
• Possess licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Alabama.
• Adhere to practice limitations as defined by the Alabama Board of Nursing and Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
