Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for the Maternal Fetal Medicine department in Southfield, MI. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensuring image quality, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Candidates should have ARRT credentials in radiography or sonography or related ARDMS/CCI certifications, plus BLS certification. Diploma/GED with experience or an Associate/Technical degree is required.

Qualifications

Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire.
BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire, either from AHA or Red Cross.
ARRT credentials in Radiography or Sonography obtained by hire or within 12 months as applicable.

Responsibilities

Sets up and adjusts ultrasound equipment and maneuvers transducers for exams.
Implements safety standards and conducts quality control procedures.
Performs routine and complex imaging studies and assists in related procedures.
Recognizes anatomical structures, artifacts, and equipment limitations.
Ensures high-quality images are submitted to PACS with correct markers and data.
Maintains a clean, organized department and proper storage areas.
Maintains regulatory compliance within department operations.
