Job summary

Future Home Integration is seeking a skilled Smart Home Systems Technician to install, configure, and support high-end residential smart home systems across Central Florida. You’ll work with project managers, builders, designers, and other technicians to bring sophisticated technology to life in custom homes.

You’ll install lighting control, audio/video, networking, automation, surveillance, and security systems, while reading project docs and meeting manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years installing or servicing residential low-voltage, electrical, smart home, audio/video, or security systems.
• Experience with residential construction projects or occupied homes.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, low-voltage, networking, or automation systems.
• Comfort reading installation documentation, wiring diagrams, and project plans.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with project teams.
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission residential smart home systems across Central Florida.
• Integrate, program, and troubleshoot platforms such as Crestron, Lutron, Control4, or similar systems.
• Install and service alarm systems and smart security integrations.
• Read project documentation and complete installations according to company standards.
• Diagnose technical issues and perform testing to ensure proper operation before project completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, builders, and fellow technicians to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and represent the company professionally.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating clearly with homeowners.
