Job summary

North Okaloosa Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for its PCU unit on a 13-week contract with potential for full-time or PRN placement. Shifts include a minimum of 3–12 hour night shifts per week, with Premium Pay eligibility for this contract RN role.

Ideal candidates will have PCU experience of at least one year, strong patient‑centered care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
• PCU experience required (minimum 1 year).
• RN license and BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and unit protocols.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and care teams to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Documents care, education, and patient responses promptly in the medical record.
