Job summary

North Okaloosa Medical Center is offering a 13-week RN contract with potential for full-time or PRN placement. Inpatient PCU/stepdown experience is required, with 1 year of nursing experience in the unit. The role emphasizes patient-centered care within established clinical protocols. Shifts are 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of Florida or compact state.
• CPR/BCLS required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in PCU/Stepdown or inpatient acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with physicians and multi-disciplinary team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Respond to emergencies including CPR and code team activities.
• Document care thoroughly in patient records.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control policies and patient safety goals.
• Assist in procedures and operate equipment as needed.
