Job summary

Local Painting Company in New York is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team. You will primarily apply interior and exterior paint and coatings, with prep tasks such as patching, sanding, and skim coating.

Travel to jobsites across NYC metro area, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut is required; you must have OSHA 30 and NYC SST 10 hour, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Safety and professionalism are expected on every project.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 and NYC SST 10 hour required.
• High end paint preparation and painting skills.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks.
• Comfortable working on tall ladders or scaffolding.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint and other coatings to drywall and other surfaces.
• Spackling, taping, skim coating to prepare surfaces for paint.
• Sand down or clean surfaces before applying paint.
• Patch walls and perform other prep tasks as necessary.
• Assist with mixing paint colors.
• Set up and take down scaffolding for larger jobs.
• Clean spray nozzles, brushes, and all other equipment at the end of your shift.
• Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites in the NYC metro area, Westchester, Long Island, and New Jersey and Connecticut.
