Job description

Are you an energetic and dependable business professional who enjoys working with people and independently from your home office?

Your role:

As a Remote Auditor, you will gather data from insureds' places of business to report to the carrier, determining the accurate premium base for policies. The Remote Auditor is responsible for digitally scheduling and collecting audit documents, conducting remote phone interviews to gather necessary information, and analyzing financial records to create comprehensive audit reports for insurance carriers.

You will be:

  • Manage personal workload and inventory to ensure efficient and timely completion of audits.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to new situations and changing priorities.
  • Ensure audit return rates and turnaround times are met.

What you need to be successful:

  • Previous experience conducting workers' compensation or general liability audits.
  • Ability to perform quality customer service.
  • Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of WCIRB, NCCI, and ISO guidelines for classification of businesses and employees to meet quality standards set by states and clients.
  • Experience with Nexus or Future Audit software is preferred but not required.
  • General accounting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and self-disciplined.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Professional and positive business conduct with third-party business owners.
  • Receptive to feedback and willing to make improvements.

Your Compensation:

As a contractor, you can propose your own rate for this engagement. Compensation will be based on a mutually agreed rate, considering scope, experience, and industry standards. Please specify your desired hourly or project rate when applying. Note: As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for your taxes, insurance, and other employment-related expenses.

The budget range is $9.00-$32.00 per billable hour.
