Job summary

Ghirardelli Chocolate in Chicago is seeking a Restaurant/Retail Associate to perform all restaurant and retail duties. Immediate openings, starting at $17.05 per hour, with holidays pay, free sundae or shake on shifts, a 50% employee discount, and quarterly bonuses.

Must be 18+, with high energy and strong work ethic; able to work nights and weekends. Responsibilities include guest service, cash handling, stocking, pricing, and maintaining cleanliness and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional Guest service.
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions per company procedures.
• Assemble retail items per guidelines.
• Maintain stock on floor and back stock.
• Keep product pricing and signage accurate.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of sales floor and products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and company history.
• Assist guests with pricing and up-sell opportunities.
• Gift-wrap items as needed.
• Follow Food Safety guidelines and keep fountain area clean.
• Stock fountain supplies and maintain back areas.
• Keep stockroom clean and organized.
• Clean windows and mirrors when needed.
• Maintain guest and employee washing facilities.
• Set up, maintain and breakdown fountain area.
• Replenish toppings and fountain items as needed.
• Maintain ice cream flavors and product knowledge.
• Work as Topper or Scooper as needed.
• Perform Semi-Table Service to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Maintain candy making equipment and supplies.
