Job description

NEIS, LLC has been a leader in the insurance audit and loss control prevention industry since 1945 and is seeking a Premium Auditor as we continue to grow our team.

Premium Auditors examine the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Your primary responsibilities include investigating for evidence of fraud and verifying adherence to regulations. This position is based from home with required daily travel to audit locations, averaging 2-4 days per week within your assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by reviewing policyholder’s records and applying manual rules and standards.
  2. Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and records.
  3. Create schedules to optimize time management.
  4. Communicate with insured clients via phone, email, and mail to arrange audit appointments.
  5. Examine records, gather data, and determine correct classifications for business activities, including writing operational descriptions.
  6. Complete audit documentation, explain results to insured, and communicate findings to the home office.
  7. Travel to multiple audit locations as required.
Job Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent, with two years of experience in premium audits or a comparable educational and experiential background.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial documents.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with customers and staff.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
