Job description

NEIS, LLC, a leader in the insurance audit and loss prevention industry since 1945, is seeking a Premium Auditor to join our growing team.

The primary responsibilities of a Premium Auditor include examining the financial records of insured businesses to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, detecting fraud, and verifying adherence to policies. This role is based from home with daily travel to audit locations, averaging 2-4 days per week within your territory.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by reviewing policyholder’s records and applying company standards.
  • Identify necessary information and prepare for each audit.
  • Create schedules to optimize time management.
  • Coordinate with insured clients via phone, email, and mail to set up appointments.
  • Examine records, classify business activities, and describe operations.
  • Complete audit documentation, explain results to clients, and communicate findings to the home office.
  • Travel to multiple audit locations weekly.
Job Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent, with two years of premium audit experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze financial documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Weekly stipend of up to $750 during training, with additional mileage and production bonuses; post-training pay typically $44-$46 per billable hour.
