Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

At Travelers, our Enterprise Operations teams deliver differentiating customer and agent experiences, drive top-line revenue and underwriting results, and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency across the enterprise. The Premium Audit group is responsible for conducting audits on property & casualty commercial lines policies to establish appropriate classifications, exposures, and basis of premium, in accordance with company, industry, and state regulations. As a Premium Auditor, you will conduct complex audits with limited oversight. In addition, you may provide guidance to less experienced auditors. Audits may be conducted virtually and/or in-person.

This position is based 100% remotely and may include a combination of mobile work and/or work from your primary residence. The physical territory for this position will include Tulsa, OK and the surrounding areas.

What Will You Do?

  • Conduct audits of moderate to highly complex Commercial Lines policies (e.g., Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto, etc.) through interview, review, and verification of the customer’s business operations to determine proper classifications. Review financial/accounting records that include payroll, tax returns, general and expense ledgers, etc. to determine final exposures.
  • Provide audit findings to customers, agents/brokers, and business partners (primarily underwriting) to ensure understanding of the change in premium exposures.
  • Develop relationships with customers, agents/brokers, underwriters, and other internal business partners.
  • Remain informed of changes and current information relative to premium auditing through internal and external resources.
  • May provide guidance to less experienced auditors.
  • May be assigned projects, presentations, etc. at the discretion of management.
  • May represent the company in routine court appearances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Three years of Premium Audit experience, including experience auditing multiple types of property and casualty commercial lines policies.
  • Completion of APA 91 and 92.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to customers, agents/brokers, and business partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills to conduct audits effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What is a Must Have?

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Two years of Premium Audit or related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
