Julius C Howe Asphalt & Sealing Co is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to lead premium paving, grading, and asphalt modification projects in commercial and residential settings. Based at sites around Cleves, OH, you will work with a technically skilled crew and use specialized equipment to deliver high-quality results.

You will follow safety guidelines, maintain site organization, and adapt to varying conditions on strict schedules, with opportunities for overtime and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Active and valid driver's license required for field assignment.
• Physical capacity for demanding construction labor and heavy materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in high-temperature, fast-paced field conditions.
• Strong listening skills to interpret and execute technical field instructions.
• High reliability and attention to structural details.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all technical phases of hot-mix asphalt paving, milling, and patching repairs.
• Shovel, rake, and smooth asphalt mixtures to ensure a flawless finish.
• Operate specialized pavement installation tools and small field equipment per standards.
• Load, unload, and stage materials, tools, and safety machinery at jobsites.
• Maintain an organized, hazard-free job site layout to optimize workflow.
• Collaborate with the paving crew to meet production targets and timelines.
• Enforce safety guidelines and wear mandatory personal protective gear.
