Position Description:
The Premier Support team provides enterprise-class services to San Francisco City departments. We are a service-oriented, dynamic group of 8 members focused on partnering with clients to support their missions. Our services include Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and other communication tools.
We seek an experienced systems administrator with a strong background managing Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, Intune, and Azure Active Directory. Prior experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure is required. Additional responsibilities include supporting other centralized enterprise platforms for all client departments.

This is a Permanent Exempt Full-Time position, excluded from the civil service examination process, serving at the discretion of the appointment officer. The position is expected to last 36 months and does not lead to permanent civil service employment.
Nature of Work:
The incumbent must be willing to work a 40-hour week, with possible travel within San Francisco. This position does not support fully remote work but may allow a hybrid schedule with supervisor approval, requiring at least two days in the office every two weeks.
Work Location:
Primarily at the Department of Technology, 1 S Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94103. Occasional work at other city sites may be required.
Relocation within California is a condition of employment, if offered.
Qualifications:
Education: An associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent coursework (minimum 60 semester or 90 quarter credits, with at least 20 semester or 30 quarter credits in relevant fields).
Experience: At least one year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, or maintaining enterprise network components.
Substitution: Additional experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis (up to 2 years). Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may also substitute for the degree.

One year of full-time employment equals 2,000 hours. Overtime hours are not included in this calculation.

Compensation: $135,954 - $171,002 annually / $65.36 - $82.21 hourly
