A local school in Miami is looking for a full-time Prekindergarten Teacher Aide for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will assist the classroom teacher in providing a safe and nurturing environment, while effectively communicating with children and parents. Applicants must have a high school diploma or associated degree, complete required training, and have strong communication skills. Knowledge of Catholic Church tenets and a background in a Roman Catholic environment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or associated degree required.
• Department of Children and Family 45-hour training and DCF level 2 background screening needed.
• ELC courses for School Readiness and VPK completion required.

School Faculty - Preschool - St. Lawrence Catholic School

St. Lawrence Catholic School in North Miami Beach, Florida has an opening for a full-time Prekindergarten Teacher Aide for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The PreK Teacher Assistant works as part of a teaching team, assists the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment, and communicates effectively with children, parents, co-workers, and administration. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or associated degree.
• Department of Children and Family (DCF) 45-hour training as well as DCF level 2 background screening.
• ELC (Early Learning Center) courses for SR (School Readiness) and VPK (Voluntary PK) completed.
• CPR First-Aid certification is preferred.
• Attend meetings and professional developments as required.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
