Job summary

St. Luke Learning Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to inspire young minds and deliver nurturing, developmentally appropriate instruction in a supportive, faith-based setting.

You will plan lessons, monitor progress, partner with families, mentor assistants, and ensure compliance with state licensing while contributing to a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Lead teacher or childcare experience required.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum that support early childhood development.
• Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment for all students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, documenting developmental milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and behavior.

• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to pass a background check per Tennessee childcare licensing requirements

Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children
