Job summary

Onward Search Education is partnering with a Lake County, IL school district to hire a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 year. This on-site role supports PreK needs, conducts evaluations, and collaborates with IEP/504 teams to ensure students receive needed services.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois School Psychologist license and a related degree, with strong skills in assessment, report writing and cross‑disciplinary collaboration. Compensation is $58–$62/hour, for 32 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois School Psychologist license (required).
• Master’s, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (or equivalent).
• Experience in school settings (PreK experience strongly preferred).
• Strong skills in standardized assessment, report writing, and eligibility determination.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with students, families, and school teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations to determine student strengths/needs and eligibility for services.
• Interpret assessment results and develop clear, actionable recommendations for supports and interventions.
• Participate in and support IEP and 504 processes, including documentation and team collaboration.
• Provide consultation to educators and school teams on behavior supports, classroom strategies, and interventions.
• Support student social-emotional needs through counseling, problem-solving, and/or targeted interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams to promote equitable access to services and student success.
