Job summary

Ensemble Performing Arts seeks a fun and nurturing Music Explorers instructor for the Montclair, NJ area, teaching at Modern Music Academy. Part-time hours are flexible within open hours, with preferred 6–12 hours weekly across Mon-Fri 2pm–8pm and Sat 10am–3pm.

Candidates should hold a degree in Music Education or Music Performance and have experience teaching children aged 5–10, including private and group formats.

Qualifications

• Strong music background evidenced by a degree in Music Education or Music Performance.
• Experience working with children ages 5-10 years old.
• Ability to pass a routine background check.
• Comfortable reading, interpreting and implementing lesson plans from a program.

Responsibilities

• Teach Music Explorers in both private one-on-one lessons and group settings.
• Set availability within open hours; typical schedule 2pm-8pm Mon-Fri and 10am-3pm Sat.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate music instruction for ages 5-10.
