Job summary

Loula is seeking experienced birth doulas to join our growing network of independent doula providers in California. We partner with Medicaid and commercial plans to simplify insurance acceptance and credentialing for doulas, with full operational support.

As an independent contractor in a non-exclusive network, you keep your own clients while gaining referrals, admin support, and a community of experienced peers.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 5 years of doula experience or 16 hours of birth doula training and 3 births attended.
• CPR training, HIPAA training, and liability insurance required to participate.

Loula is seeking experienced birth doulas to join our growing network of independent doula providers!

About Loula

With a network of over 500 experienced and diverse doulas, Loula is building the leading provider network for birth and postpartum doula care. We partner with both Medicaid and commercial health insurance plans to make it easier for doulas to accept health insurance without the administrative burden.

Loula offers full-service support for Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, medical billing, and payment to doulas in California. By taking on the operational complexity, Loula empowers doulas to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

Minimum Qualifications

You’ll need one of the following:

• Completed 16 hours of birth doula training AND attended 3 births as a doula, OR
• 5 years of experience as a doula, with 3 letters of recommendation

You’ll also need:

• Adult and infant CPR training
• HIPAA training
• Liability insurance

If you don't yet have CPR training, HIPAA training, liability insurance, or the letters of recommendation, you can still reach out! We can support you in getting set up with these requirements.
